Legacy Center’s NC94 Leadership Team created an extensive garden and patio area for a senior center, the Durham Center for Senior Life, Durham, NC, that had no outdoor access. This extreme project creating a concrete walkway, planting over 400 plants and trees, installing benches, tables and chairs, installing an irrigation system, and creating raised flower beds. The project also involved recording the visions of many of the elderly people who came to the center and creating a video and CD recordings. Budget: $45,000.
