Haven House

In Legacy Center’s Leadership Program, each team creates an extreme makeover project in the community with budgets that usually exceed $30,000. The challenge: the project must be complete in two days, the team cannot use any of their own money, the community performs 75% of the work, and the planning phase is less than one month.
Haven House

There have been three Legacy Center projects for Haven House Services in Raleigh, NC. The first project involved major renovations, painting, and cleanup inside and outside of the home for girls. The second project, at the boy’s home, involved extensive landscaping, creating a parking area, driveway, and an area for general play and basketball. The third project, involved major landscaping, building a brick walkway, and providing a beautiful outdoor area including complete patio furniture. Haven House Services is a non-profit agency that helps struggling young people and their families develop positive and successful relationships at home, at school, and in the community.
